Pool to fool around on (That came out wrong. However, while the first film's $58 million budget kept everyone's favorite anti-hero in a smaller-scale narrative, this sequel, though, still far more intimate than most superhero fare, sets a far larger stage for Mr. Irreverent, crude, graphic, and hilarious, Deadpool 2 is a refreshing romp amidst an unending over-saturation of spandex-doning hero flicks (Which was ironically also said about the first film two years ago. With that being said, if you are a fan of the first Deadpool installment, this sequel will surely fail to disappoint. In fact, I cannot recall a matching of a character with an actor as pitch perfect as Reynolds with the wise-cracking Merc with the Mouth. Right off the bat, let's just make one thing perfectly clear: Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool (Or is it the other way around.). (But definitely go, because it is amazing in every way. I'll say it again: DON'T BRING YOUR KIDS. Then they'll repeat them to their friends, who will say it in front of their parents, who will then say that your kids can't play with theirs anymore. And do you really want them to see a kid, looking to be their age, who wants nothing more than to go on a murderous rampage? Also, the swearing isn't restricted to the words everyone knows they get VERY creative and your kids will have questions that you won't want to answer, and there will likely be phrases you'll have to look up on Urban Dictionary later yourself. Intruders killing family members and dying in house fires are very realistic, plausible things that could seriously give your kids nightmares.

Never mind if you think your kids are mature enough to handle the violence. Trying to spoil as little as possible, here's a list of things that you may not have thought of: people busting into an apartment and shooting the woman that lives there someone breaking into a home and killing a mother and young daughter with fire dismemberment (multiple times) extreme illness (very advanced cancer) a pre/young teen looking kid who swears like a sailor, goes to prison, starts fights with adults in said prison (homemade shiv and all), and wants to kill people kids in an orphanage being abused by those who are supposed to protect them.

Sure, there isn't as much sex talk as the first, but this movie is violent and has other things in it that I wouldn't want my own kid seeing. Add in a couple of lackluster, stale cameos that go nowhere.and you have a Deadplool movie that simply exists just 's more Deadpool. His acting is truly awful to the point of being outputting and out of place. The true uninspiring cherry on top is the painfully awful teenager the story revolves around.

The action? We have a few moments where it is mildly interesting, but the tension is lost as the paper thin premise of the movie trots along without convincing substance as a generic backdrop and excuse to simply make another movie. Not to say the humor is all bad, but we are not pushing boundaries or being very original here. At times you can almost feel Deadpool grinning like a game show host through his mask expecting you to laugh without truly earning it. Here, however, jokes are retold, the plot is cartoonishly predictable and thin and much of the humor is eye rolling and cliche, often falling sluggishly flat. This movie seems to firmly ride on the coat tails of the previous films success as well as the charm and charisma of Ryan Reynolds.

Sure, the novelty that is Deadpool is still new and irreverent, but does it have to feel kinda lazy and borderline boring for the follow up?
